Hydrophilic colloid

The main component of hydrocolloid band aid is a kind of colloid with strong hydrophilic ability, which is called hydrocolloid for short.

 

Hydrocolloids are formed by heating and stirring sodium carboxymethyl cellulose particles (CMC), hypoallergenic medical viscose, elastomer and plasticizer. It is a material widely used in the field of chronic wound care.

 

A semi permeable poly membrane (PU) is compounded on the surface of hydrocolloid, which can allow the exchange of oxygen and water vapor, but can block the outside world, dust, bacteria and liquid water.

 

Hydrocolloid has excellent initial viscosity and holding viscosity, and can be pasted on the body surface for a long time.
